Louise Jameson
Louise Jameson trained at RADA between 1969 and 1971 leaving with the Shakespeare Award for for best classical performance. Immediately she was swept up by the BBC to do Cider With Rosie and Tom Brown’s School Days and has gone on to do another 9 TV series as a regular; most notably Dr Who, Tenko, Bergerac and Eastenders.
Louise also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company for 3 years in the 1970’s where she was fortunate enough to work with Sir Ian McKellan, Ian Richardson, Alan Bates and Dame Eileen Atkins amongst others. She has guested with RSC and The Royal National Theatre ever since. She has tutored extensively at American Universities (incl. UCLA) lecturing on Pinter, Shakespeare and Stanislaski as well as running workshops on voice, improvisation, text and audition technique.
The Guilford School Of Acting employs her regularly to direct their final showings.
She is currently filming River City for BBC Scotland as well as participating in a writer’s group devising and creating a comedy sketch show for BBC 3.
